Elizabeth & Guillermo

June 06, 2014

One of our biggest concerns in planning our wedding is making it affordable for our guests. We understand that traveling to another country can be an expensive venture, but are also some major cost-saving benefits of combining reservations and traveling with a group.

_____

Airfare

Cancun International Airport is the largest airport in the region and only 34 miles from our resort, so we encourage our guests to fly there. Even though direct flights from Cleveland Hopkins to Cancun International don't show up in normal search engines, they do exist! These flights take approximately 3.5 hours each way and cost around $500 for a round-trip ticket. Of course, airfare changes constantly, so you may find your ticket costs a little less if you book early or a little more if you book late.

Please see the Reservations for details on how to access this type of flight.

_____

Hotel

If two adults share a room, they can expect to spend around $150/night each. While this may seem expensive at first glance, please keep in mind that this cost covers everything from food to activities. If you subtract the cost of three elaborate meals, unlimited snacks and drinks, the use of parasailing and snorkel equipment, and all of the other benefits detailed on the Riu Palace RM and FAQs pages, we expect you'll find the cost far more palatable.

The Riu Palace Riviera Maya is a large resort, but rates will rise as it begins to sell out, so we encourage our guests to book early! For details on how to officially sign up, please see the Reservations page.
