Question_mark Question:

Hello Sharon, I am newly engaged and just starting this scary process. We have decided to have the wedding in Eureka Springs AK for June of 2011. I have already booked the chapel(Thorncrown 7-10am) and the reception site(Cresent Hotel for brunch) but I live several hours away. I am on a budget of about 6,000 what are the most important things, What kind of questions should I ask?....Where do I go from here?
Thank you for your time,
Desperatly seeking help.

Answer:

Sounds lovely!
Okay, you have your sites booked, and you know you're having a brunch. The next steps to take right now include creating your final, official guest list so that you can send out Save the Date cards. Set up a personal wedding website that includes your wedding's basics - the date, time, place and style of wedding (brunch) -- and include that URL on your Save the Date. you can update your personal page later with additional details, but having important info like hotel contact info and the wedding day itinerary is really important for guests to know and bookmark.
Register for gifts now, since friends and relatives may want to send you engagement gifts, and it's a fun, non-stress task to share with your partner!
Next, start shopping for, and order, your wedding gown. They can take a while to be delivered once you find The One, and you want plenty of time for alterations. The timing is right for your June wedding to start looking now, letting you enjoy the process!

Just let me know if you have any further questions! Happy to help! And check out my book The Busy Bride's Essential Wedding Checklists at www.sharonnaylor.net to help you organize all of your steps, and the steps within the steps!! :]
