Expert Advice from wedding guru, Sharon Naylor
Question:
Hi Sharon,
I am just recently engaged and in the preliminary planning stages. We are going to start planning in Le Blanc resort in Cancun, Mexico. We have not visited the resort as of yet. We would like to get married in a Catholic Church there that is close to the resort. Any ideas on what church? Also we are planning about 75 guests, how do we transport our guests from ceremony to reception?? Also any other ideas on how to accomodate this many guests on a destination wedding? Help!
Jaclyn
Answer:
Hi Jaclyn:
A great wedding coordinator is going to be able to help you with all of this, and save you lots of money, too!! You don't have to use a local coordinator -- the big trend is finding one near you who plans destination weddings. They have worked with Cancun resorts and may even have a solid relationship with the team at your resort. You can then meet with your coordinator here, plan everything down to the smallest detail (including the transportation for your guests) and have a pro on your side for planning at a distance. Find your pros through the Association of Bridal consultants (www.bridalassn.com), which is the best source for licensed, accredited wedding pros -- not people who recently planned their Cancun weddings and now call themselves wedding coordinators.
