Expert Advice from wedding guru, Sharon Naylor
Question:
I'd like to see how peach and green blends together in a dress etc.....
Answer:
I've always gone to the paint samples section of my Home Depot to see how colors look together. You just look through the paper strips that have all the shades on them and check out color combos.
I also go to www.benjaminmoore.com to play with color combos. Sure, it comes up as colors shown on room walls and as accents, but it's a fun way to see color matches, and grooms enjoy playing with this site.
I've also gone to the men's tie section of department stores to look at fashionable color combos.
With peach and green, you have to find the right shades, since some peaches can have orange undertones, and some greens can have blue undertones. Testing a color combo is fine for a first look, but it's always best to have an actual dress in hand so that you can see the color combos in the fabric, as well as -- very important -- how it looks in indoor and outdoor light. So make your final choices based on what you see at a bridal shop, dress boutique, department store's formal dresses section, prom dress section, and more...
