Boston Common & Public Gardens

Attraction

Dating back to 1634, the Boston Common is a center of public life. The more formal Public Gardens were created when adjacent marshland was filled in to become Back Bay in the 1830's, and they were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.

When they were younger, Lauren and Kristin were especially fond of taking swan boat rides, which have run by the same family since 1877. (And as a side note, Lauren went to college with the grandson of the current proprietors!)

Lauren and Jared's Wedding Map

Welcome to our wedding map! We are excited to have the opportunity to show you around our old hometown. As you all know, Concord, MA, holds a pretty special place in our hearts, and we're really looking forward to celebrating our wedding there on October 11, 2009.

Thank you to everyone who is coming in from out of town -- especially those making the trek from the west coast or beyond. Our hope is that this map gives you a flavor of our old stomping grounds and gets you pumped up for a visit yourself!
