We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Daniela and Caribe Cordial. Daniela made our Wedding planning experience fun and exciting, and her first answer to everything was always yes! We planned our wedding in Cartagena from Singapore, which is literally on the other side of the world. Daniela was always willing to take a call regardless of whether it was day or night, and she was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. She ensured we were able to get married in la Iglesia de Pedro Claver, and also have our reception at el Baluarte de San Francisco. She also organized a parade from the service to reception, recommended the highest quality vendors, and made sure that we could enjoy our special day and not focus on logistics. We almost didn't even notice she was there. She was integral in helping us throw the best party mot attendees said they had ever been to. It was without question the best day of both of our lives, and we owe a lot of it to Caribe Cordial. If you are considering using them please do not hesitate. They will exceed your every expectation. It doesn't matter what type of event it is they will deliver to your satisfaction! And my husband's favorite thing of all?! My wedding was absolutely perfect! I can’t thank Caribe Cordial enough. Since the moment I first contacted them, I knew Juan Camilo was the one I wanted to work with to plan my wedding, he is smart, professional, creative, super knowledgeable on the wedding field, honest, and above all an excellent human being. We started the planning back in November 17, we live in USA, so we got started with the planning/concept, and then my fiancé and I travelled to Cartagena in February to meet and select the wedding vendors. Everything during the visit was coordinated by Caribe Cordial and we left Cartagena sure that everything would turn out great and it did! In fact, everything was better than expected. Juan was able to work with our somehow small budget and make something great!

Thanks to Juan Camilo and his team, we were able to enjoy our wedding day without ANY stress or worry, everything for the day, even what I was having for lunch was handled by them, so we could just sit back and enjoy our day.

We had 90 guests on our wedding, who travelled from the USA, Venezuela, Mexico and inside Colombia to be with us in Cartagena. Every single person who attended complimented us in how amazing the party was, some of the comments were that it was “the best wedding ever”, “how beautiful everything was”, “how organized everything was, that there was no detail left out” , “that they had a great time and they were so glad they made the trip” .

With so many people travelling Juan also coordinated a Welcome Cocktail that was the preamble to an awesome wedding and an Island Day trip where 50 of our guest were able to enjoy the Rosario Islands.

We also gave our guest a Welcome Bag with some goodies, which Juan and his team assembled and deliver to my guest hotels.

I can honestly say, there is not one thing I would change from my wedding day (I am pretty sure there must have been unexpected issues, but Juan Camilo is so professional that he probably solved them, and I will never find out).

I was a little unsure at first because this was the first time for Juan Camilo to organize a wedding on my venue (Museo Naval), so what it something would go wrong that he didn’t expect, since he is not familiar with the place, but he went to check the place right at the beginning of the planning and he confirmed he could work with and it would be perfect, and it certainly was!

If you are considering in hiring a wedding planner, please do yourself a favor and hire Juan Camilo y Daniela. Now, they are busy people and probably have 1 or 2 weddings every weekend, in fact, the day of my wedding they had another wedding, but that didn’t affect my wedding at all. So, if you can be a little patience and trust them 100%, you will end up with an amazing wedding like mine!

A year to the date of when we got engaged, we decided that we wanted a destination wedding. What a better place to do so, than Cartagena, Colombia where we took our first vacation. I asked one of my really good friends for points on where to start as she had gotten married in March 2016. Her exact words were "YOU NEED TO HIRE MY WEDDING PLANNER" Daniela from Caribe Cordial. With the help of “Caribe Cordial” planning our destination wedding from Chicago, we couldn’t have asked for more exceptional service and delivery of our romantic, elegant and fairy-tale wedding! Kudos to “Caribe Cordial”. You truly exceeded our expectations!

I would like to paint a picture and describe our journey of planning a destination wedding with Caribe Cordial. Stress no more!

My husband and I got engaged in February 2016. We wanted a destination wedding, so the conversations to determine the location started the same evening as the engagement. My sister in law suggested Cartagena Colombia as one of the options to consider. After reading about Cartagena and seeing pictures of the “Old City”, I immediately fell in love with the colorful colonial city. One day later, my husband began researching wedding planners in Cartagena. We knew we couldn’t plan the wedding alone from Chicago. When he inquired with Caribe Cordial, he spent an hour talking with Juan Camilo. Juan patiently explained the road map needed to have a successful destination wedding and we immediately had a good feeling about him.

In the beginning, the amount of details to consider felt overwhelming. However, Juan explained that most of the wedding details were the responsibility of the wedding planner. With careful research and time spent reviewing 3 other wedding planners in Cartagena, we found Juan Camillo and his team at Caribe Cordial to be the most responsive, helpful and timely. We even spoke to wedding planners in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and St. Marten. However, the prices, service, and luxury of our Cartagena wedding couldn’t even compare!

A week later, we decided to work with Caribe Cordial. A contract was signed by both parties and an initial payment for their services was wired. We appreciated the fact that their fees were fixed and not a percentage of the wedding cost. There was no limit to the amount of communication we wanted to have with them in comparison to most wedding planners. My husband spent countless hours with Juan Camilo to plan every single detail of our wedding regardless if it was a weekend or 9:00 in the evening!

Juan Camilo suggested vendors such as the bands, DJ’s, caterers, locations to rent, florists, churches, hotels accommodations, a recreational island to spend one day with our guests, etc. All in all, everything was factored in to determine our initial budget. We coordinated the payments for all vendors with Caribe Cordial. Therefore, instead of sending payments to multiple vendors, Caribe Cordial received all our payments and provided us with the receipts from each vendor.

Feeling concerned that all this planning was being done remotely, I traveled to Cartagena for four days in April. Juan Camillo and his staff, who speak very good English, greeted me at the airport. The next several days, I was escorted by them to visit the hotels for our guests, the church¬¬¬ and colonial home where our reception took place. I met with the priest, caterers, musicians, decorator, florists, in addition to exploring the old city. I had never been to Cartagena, so it was refreshing to see what we were getting into! This visit was wonderful as it gave me the opportunity to feel comfortable and confidant with our vendors. Juan Camilo was even fine with us selecting a couple of different vendors from the ones he had suggested and worked with. He only requested a proper introduction so he could continue coordinating all the efforts.

We got married in June. Yes, we planned the wedding in 4 months! We arrived 5 days prior to our wedding, we brought some party supplies for the “Hora Loca”, welcome bags which Caribe Cordial packaged, and some liquor from the US to be served at our reception. We also shipped some party materials to the offices of Caribe Cordial as we didn’t have room in our luggage. Caribe Cordial organized and kept an inventory of all the materials we gave them. They were extremely organized!

From the moment we set foot in Cartagena to our guest arrivals, Caribe Cordial was prompt and on top of everything! Which made us feel very comfortable and stress free. They also coordinated transportation for our guests from the airport to their hotels, steaming of dresses as needed, and any other service you could imagine.

The day of our wedding, much to our surprise, both my husband and I were provided with staff to literally be at our beck and call. They provided anything we could possibly need and helped us coordinate the makeup, hair, snacks for the wedding party, dressing, photography session and final touch ups before the ceremony.

Finally, at the reception, the decor of the colonial home “Casa Kirby” where our reception took place was absolutely AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! Our wedding planner Juan Camillo and his staff out did themselves! The entire organization was superb from the wait staff to the bartenders to the caterer, and all of Caribe Cordial staff. There were enough staff personnel to ensure all of our needs were fulfilled.

The wedding lasted until 4:00 AM. After all of our guests left, we invited our entire staff to stop their work and enjoy a beer with us thanking them for the incredible and unforgettable wedding they provided us.

The cost of our wedding for what we had in comparison to the US, Mexico or even some of the Caribbean islands doesn’t even compare. Give yourself the unforgettable wedding experience that you and your spouse deserve choosing Caribe Cordial as your wedding planning services!

We worked with Caribe Cordial, in particular with Daniela, for our wedding in Cartagena earlier this year. Warning, long email ahead, but we wanted to be as clear & hopefully helpful as possible! Short version? We were very excited by all the positive reviews, Daniela is very nice, our venues were beautiful, but the logistics and details were exhausting and very unsatisfactory. Would say consider Caribe Cordial for you wedding, but with major warnings about the time and work involved from your side.

PROS:

Recommended amazing venues that all worked out very well.

The floral arrangements were spectacular, the food very tasty, and my hair and makeup good.

They really respected and tried to work with our somewhat limited budget and nontraditional ideas, including patience with my questions over every detail and cost.

There was quite a lot of flexibility in finalizing the numbers, which was great given the string of last minute bad luck that our guests had.

Really appreciated all of the help with the paperwork side of things too!

CONS:

I had to review every single detail multiple times to make sure that things we had discussed were included and in the way we wanted. Maybe they're used to more hands-off couples, who just hand over a credit card and say "make it happen"? I dunno, but I can say that I had to review every single email and budget with a fine toothed comb and ask a million questions (and, nitpicky detail, but all the budgets had exactly the same title, so I had to retitle all of the documents to know which one was the most up to date).

When I didn't triple check, it didn't work (our DJ was an epic fail, we ended up playing music from our iPhones; the rehearsal venue wasn't open when they said they would be so I was getting confused calls from guests; the wrong champagne was served; had to change the beach day venue two days before because no deposit had been made; etc)

Ended up firing the assistant who was supposed to help us find hotels because she was so slow in responding that we lost a couple of our top choices (and they didn't negotiate anything special in terms of rates anyway). We ended up organizing the lodgings for our friends and families ourselves by searching online, contacting our top hotel choices, and doing it that way.

I did not feel like I got to relax and have fun. People were coming up to me throughout the wedding to ask logistical questions and, at the end of the night, they put us in the taxi with all of the knick knacks from the wedding. It's a small detail but, the last thing I want to have to worry about at the end of my wedding is if they've handed me everything I brought to the venue (they hadn't, it took weeks and dozens of messages etc to get the other items back - and I'm not sure that we're not missing some cards or something still)

Their english is strong but definitely not perfect. Works better if you can do it in Spanish.

Some of these things are definitely the result of having an event in Latin America (sounds cheesy, I know, but things just move at slower pace than the US/you don't have to have all the details organized a year in advance - which is actually pretty great in a lot of ways!) but, in the end, it was an exhausting process and I got wildly stressed out by not being able to assume that anything we had organized was going to happen or going to work.

The good thing is that overall our guests had a wonderful time which was, after all, our goal in inviting them all to share in the wonderful country of Colombia (and the magic that is Cartagena!)

Planning a dream wedding is no piece of cake but when you have the best wedding planner who works her magic to make your day The Best Day Ever it just makes the planning process run smoothly and can actually fun. Since day one Daniela would always greet us with her warm yet, energetic poise that always helped alleviate any uncertainties and doubts we ever had. It's so funny because I remember there were times (especially the last couple of months leading up to the wedding) that my husband and I would have a laundry list of questions for Daniela and before our Skype phone call we would feel completely stressed and apprehensive but after speaking to her we would both laugh at how silly we were to doubt her because she always had it down packed! Planning a destination wedding can be more stressful than having a wedding close to home because you’re dealing with vendors you’ve never heard of (other than on social media) and most if not all of the communication is dealt with via phone, skype, emails, whats app, etc. Also the culture in Colombia is very different than the one in the East Coast where we send an email and expect a response almost immediately, I’m guilty of this lol. In Colombia everyone is more relaxed and work at their pace so there were times where my husband and I became very anxious waiting to hear from our vendors and wedding planner so we can cross things off our long “To do List” but didn’t realize cultural differences when it comes to the concept of time and delivery. Overall, our experience with Caribe Cordial was amazing and our wedding was magical! It was everything we hoped for and much more! There are so many moments and things I can highlight about our wedding and the entire experience but the one thing that I want to share that left us completely awestruck was the entourage of professionals that Daniela had on our wedding day. We never imagined having such a huge support team and attendants. Our guests were in complete shock and surprised to see all these beautiful girls dressed in gorgeous black gowns wearing what seemed like high- end wireless earpieces (my guests refer to them as CIA workers LOL, this is how professional they looked) in order to communicate with each other including the photographers to make sure everything was running smoothly and in a timely manner. Daniela also assigned me my very own personal assistant who was this beautiful girl named Juvissa whom my bridal party especially my man of honor/best friend was infatuated with because of her elegance. I’ve never had a personal assistant so I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do but that didn’t matter because Juvissa was always attentive to me, asking me if I needed a drink, wanted to retouch my lipstick (which she carried in her pocket throughout the entire reception) and even helped me get into my second dress. Now, I know that the bride is usually the one getting pampered and having all these amenities but my husband got special treatment too; he was assigned his own personal waiter who made sure his glass was always full with his favorite scotch and fresh ice cubes, my husband is a simple man, as long as he has a drink in his hand he’s happy. Meanwhile, Daniela was behind the scenes making sure everything was running smoothly at the bar, with the food, servers, music, lighting, the protocol of events etc. Not only did Daniela take care of everything the day of the wedding but we had several events such as welcome cocktail and rehearsal dinner that same week that Daniela helped coordinate including a post wedding tour to the Islas Del Rosario on Saturday. It might be difficult for some brides to say they had the “perfect wedding” because sometimes things don’t go as planned but I can honestly say my wedding was pure PERFECTION and all thanks to Caribe Cordial.

Don't know where to start. Since the moment we decided to have our wedding at the most beautiful and historical place in the world, Cartagena, Daniela and the Team at Caribe Cordial were a dream come true. From the logistics, venue, accommodations, transportation, catering, decoration . . . our expectations were met beyond belief.

To start, we had only six months to plan a destination wedding. We wanted to have our wedding and reception but also the opportunity for our guests to meet prior to the wedding and interact the day after. However, we didn't want your typical rehearsal dinner and the Chiva bus came to mind as reading reviews through Wedding Mapper. We also decided on a brunch the day after to finalize a wonderful weekend. All the logistics and final details were finalized prior and it was time for us to travel. My now husband was scheduled to arrive the day before the wedding while I arrived two days prior. However, due to weather delays, he was not able to make it and was schedule to arrive until the morning off. Daniela and her team quickly helped us shift our timeline from 4 PM to 7 PM to allow time for my husband to arrive in town. However, his flight got delayed and there was a point where we thought he was not going to make it for our wedding. After lots of phone calls, worries and tears, we found him a flight to Barranquilla and Caribe Cordial quickly helped us find transportation options for him from Barranquilla to Cartagena [even going lengths and find him a translator to receive him at the airport and bring him to me for our wedding]. The ceremony, reception and Hora Loca were the best experience in our life and can't thank Daniela and her team at Caribe Cordial for everything they did for us. We couldn't have definitely done it without them.

I found out about Caribe Cordial though a google search. It can be very nerve wrecking to hire a wedding planning company when you are in a different country and have never had the chance to meet them before.This all being said though, we were very happy that we chose Caribe Cordial to work with. They made all our dreams come true.

Daniela Lopera, the planner we worked with, has planned so many weddings it seems that wedding planning is clearly second nature to her. She had so many ideas and pictures to share with us that I felt that I didn't have to come spend so much time on pinterest looking for ideas. She was incredibly patient with all of our questions and demands and made sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. The days leading up to the wedding, everything was taken care of. She had individuals assemble our welcome bags for us so that we didn't have to worry about it and also deliver them to the different places our guests were staying at. She was constantly available via phone and whatsapp and made us our sole priority. She also graciously added other small surprise details to make our wedding even more spectacular. We cannot thank her and the crew of Caribe Cordial enough for all the work that they did to ensure that our day was perfect!!

I work in the entertainment industry, so I know the demands of event planning and I wanted someone who I could fully trust on such a special day for my husband and I - and for our families. Daniela from Caribe Cordial Weddings was my saving grace. I would tell her what I envisioned and she would somehow make it all happen. At times, she would make suggestions that far exceeded what I could even imagine. She was patient and kind and so incredibly helpful. We planned events from Thursday - Saturday and she was there every step of the way. Everything she did to help was amazing.

On the big day, I didn't worry about a thing. She had everything under control. She was organized and focused, and her staff made me feel calm and collected. I never once worried about a thing, and I can't imagine a better gift than that on your big day. At one point, she even took off bobby pins from her hair to make sure that my hair piece would stay fit in mine. It's that kind of attention and selflessness that you want from your wedding planner.

He captured out day so incredibly perfectly. He was patient and kind and didn't make us feel like we were forcing the pictures. He caught our love and authenticity at the very core. Our wedding was amazing!! Do not look any further when looking for wedding planners. Picking Cartagena as location for our wedding was the best decision ever. It was truly impressive how they stayed until the end to make sure nothing went wrong and that we were pleased.

Very satisfied with Caribe Cordial services. Juan Camilo and his team played a special role in making of our wedding a magical event. Throughout the process Juan Camilo actively contributed with his ideas but listened to what we wanted and helped us to make it happen. Most of his team is very well trained and proactive, he took care of most of the details and stayed with us until the last minute. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner!

Our aim was to have a non-frilly/formal typical wedding and keep it as "rustic" looking as possible and we couldn't have done this without our amazing wedding planner, Juan Camilo from Caribe Cordial. We live in England so planning a wedding from overseas is extremely complicated unless you plan on going to Cartagena a few times to scope out venues and meet with vendors. We couldn't visit Cartagena before the wedding therefore we had to place all our trust in Caribe Cordial and it was worth it!

I liaised primarily with Juan Camilo who runs Caribe Cordial. I heard of him via Wedding Mapper. We met via Skype for an hour + regularly for a year leading up to the wedding. He’s a very busy guy planning various events but was never stressed out or short and was always very pleasant and friendly to speak with. He understood all our requirements, never pushed for things we didn’t want but did give his opinion on areas which he felt stronger about (based on his experience) and it turns out he was right.. so we were grateful for that!

He has great connections with vendors and works hard at getting you angood deal and is flexible to suit your budget. I did find that some wedding planners had an idea in mind and weren't very flexible with budgets or open to changing certain things if it wasn't how they thought a wedding "should" be like (which tended it be more formal frillier than what we wanted), so having someone as flexible, open-mined and understanding as Juan Camilo was great.

When we got there JC’s team did (in my opinion) take care of us and our guests over and above wedding planning responsibilities. He gave me a local cell phone to use, helped with airport transfers for my guests (although his staff didn’t speak English and my friends didn’t speak Spanish so communicated between them was a slight issue) and even helped us arrange accommodation for us and our guests who we relooking to travel to other parts of Colombia after the wedding.

Our planner was Caribe Cordial and they were absolutely amazing. We had the feeling from the previous reviews that they were going to do a great job but our expectations were more than fulfilled. We worked directly with Daniela but her team was always there with anything we needed. We had many international guest and aside from the wedding, they were able to organize tours for our guest during their stay. Her assistants also took care of everything we brought from abroad from organizing our programs to putting together our wedding favors. Daniela was also creative enough to help us organize some of the German traditions we needed in the heat of Cartagena. The day of the event, her entire team was there making sure everything went according to plan. If something went wrong, I really wouldn’t know. They made sure we were truly relaxed throughout the entire day. Even after we left Cartagena to tour around Colombia, she took care of the dress and some of the extra luggage we had until we came back. If I had to say something negative, the only thing that was a little frustrating were responding to some emails kind of late. It’s a very stressful time for many brides to plan a wedding abroad and getting a fast response was very important to us. This was compensated during our stay. We felt as if we were always their number one priority. We were in constant communication with her as soon as we arrived and that gave us a lot of peace of mind. In simple words, they just did an amazing job! Everyone who attended the wedding was more than impress with how organized everything was. It was a real pleasure having Daniela from Caribe Cordial plan our dream wedding in Cartagena. It was an amazing experience and we are very pleased we trusted her. We had an Indian wedding in Cartagena - something unique but from the start Daniela found the concept an exciting challenge and worked with us to bring our ideas to life. We spoke with a few planners at the start of our process when we were deciding on Cartagena as a destination (we live in the UK but my wife Natalia is Colombian). Daniela was great from the start giving us lots of detail in terms of options, different budgets, venue types etc. from the very first email which no other planner gave us. We were also reassured by the fixed fee Caribe Cordial charges compared to other planners that charge based on the total cost of the wedding.....We had a year to plan the wedding including a very productive trip to Cartagena where we visited all the venues she had in mind and met various vendors. The visit was very well organised and a great part of our planning process was done in those few days. The year spent planning was fun and she was always on top of things, always happy to accommodate our ideas as well as contributing her own and very patient when we were deciding or changing our minds about different options. I would also say that we always felt she was on our side and honest in terms of where she felt we could push different vendors for better deals, where we didnt need certain items , were there might be a more practical or economical option etc. and was always understanding of our budget. I think the service we got made the wedding much less stressful than if we had done it ourselves or in the UK but I think other couples also agree as at times she was very busy with other weddings in the run up to ours even though she was always on top of our requests

Dealing with Caribe Cordial in the organization of our wedding was the best decision we made when we strated to plan 1 year before the event. Michelle and I were even more concerned because we had to organyze our wedding from France which makes it harder on all aspects. We chose Caribe Cordial because of the strong recommendations on Wedding Mapper, their competitive rates, and their prompt response to our initial inquiry. Leading up to the wedding, Daniela and their staff were very nice and responsive to our questions and requests. She seemed to be good at negotiating rates with vendors, but wasn't great at helping us live within our budget. We had hoped for a wedding planner who would take care of any minor issues that emerged on the wedding day. However, Daniela and her team approached the bride with all of the problems. Instead of solving these problems, the bride had to come up with solutions. Daniela was our primary point of contact through the process, but on the wedding day it was a junior member of her team who accompanied us along the stops before after the wedding reception. The junior member stressed easily and was ill equipped to answer questions or problem solve. With her experience, we think Daniela would have taken charge of the situation more effectively. Throughout the wedding day, there were many missing pieces, including forgetting to schedule a time to toss the bouquet. The bride had to talk to Daniela about organize this.

We live in Spain and we have always talked about that if we ever decided to get married, it would be in Colombia. Since we took this decision, the illusion we had was compared to the fear we had to organize a wedding so far, so finding a good organizer was an obligation, we talked with several of them and we surprised by the good reviews of Caribe Cordial, so we decided to call them and from the first minute of conversation we knew they would be good and our fears were gradually disappearing.

This team was not just asked to organize our wedding ,but my father`s birthday and a private party for an entire day with complimentary night on a private Caribbean beach where they had to carry everything from Cartagena.

If you want to organize a wedding in Cartagena, you will not find other organizers as good as them, the worst decision would be to not choose them, you will find many organizers in Cartagena, sure very good, but Caribe Cordial is simply the best .

We used them for our pre-wedding activities in Cartagena. They took a while to reply to our messages but overall all the events worked out. There was one restaurant that we did not enjoy but it could have been avoided had we had the time to visit Cartagena previous to our event.

I contacted few wedding planners over than a year ago, all them replied but Caribe Cordial was the only one who approached us in a friendly way. Juan Camilo and us chat over Skype and he gave us a brief of what to expect from them and three different packages that for our wedding sort of worked out to be a combination of all.

We only have goods things to say about Juan Camilo and his team, he seemed to know what was best for our wedding and really reflect what for us was the best day of our lives. We arrived in Cartagena one week before the wedding and he organised meetings and tastes just so we knew what we will see on our wedding day

I remember we contacted many wedding planners in Cartagena one year before the wedding and we were trying to choose the best one who really tried to accommodate with our budget and many of them said that we could not have a wedding in Cartagena with the budget we had, but Daniela and Juan Camilo were the exception.

We chose Caribe Cordial over two other wedding planners in Cartagena and it was the right decision! We started the planning process a year and a half before the wedding. During that time we kept in permanent contact with them through email and Skype and visited them once in Cartagena to meet vendors and arrange most of the details. Daniela was always creative, looking for the best providers and prices and willing to help us with all our requests. She understood our wedding concept and gave us really good suggestions. At the end, Daniela and Juan Camilo felt more like friends than people we contracted to plan our wedding. Although they have weddings almost every weekend, the planners at Caribe Cordial make you feel as though your wedding it is the most important event for them as well. They have great local contacts and although they have been in this business for years, they are always looking for new options. Their staff is well trained and professional and very dedicated. We enjoyed every minute of the wedding and did not worry about anything at all. We recommended Caribe Cordial to friends that were getting married on an island close to Cartagena and they too were impressed by the way that everything turned out. In short, Caribe Cordial provides professional, reliable, and creative wedding planning services. They are the sweetest!

Cartagena is a beautiful place for a wedding, but it can be hard to break out of the Cartagena Wedding mould. Caribe Cordial were able to create an intimate and relaxed wedding for us and our guests. Their inside knowledge of Cartagena was invaluable, as we live in Bogota, and they found the perfect church and wedding reception venue which we never would have found ourselves.

However it was on the day that Caribe Cordial were really at their best. They managed every detail of the day, every vendor, every delivery, even ensuring we all walked down the aisle at the right time and in the right order. It was so wonderful that we were able to relax and enjoy our day, because every little detail was taken care of.

Bodas Caribe Cordial was our wedding planners. The company is run by Juan Camilo and Daniela. Also, Vanessa is part of their team and helps them with everything they have going on. Both Juan Camilo and Daniela were great. And part of the reason our wedding weekend was so amazing is b/c of all the hard work they put into our wedding. They really do have great ideas and helped with negotiating better deals with vendors, etc. They know the business inside out and really know what they are doing. Both JC and Daniela are very approachable and b/c they are doing what they love to do, they were very passionate about helping plan our perfect day!

The only reason why I am giving my wedding planners 4 stars is b/c I feel that I did not get the attention I should have gotten once I got to Cartagena. I did all the planning via online with JC and Daniela... however; once I got to Cartagena is was mainly Vanessa (their assistant) who was the most helpful and was with us the whole time. While I understand that my wedding was "small", and not to sound too "bridezilla" but it should have been the #1 priority of the week. Instead, they also were attending to other couples who were there visiting & planning future weddings. My advice and constructive criticism to Daniela & JC is not to forget that costumer service is beyond important ... and while the did have everything under control... it is a little stressful on the couple getting married to not see them in everything going on.

If I had to do it all over again... I will still hire Bodas Caribe Cordial. They did an amazing job and everything was perfect... just don't forget to make sure you give your 150% to the wedding couple during that week... everyone else, can wait! :)

Being a bride-to-be represents lots of challenges. You have to think about a budget and then figure out how, when and where. I knew I wanted to get married in Cartagena, but I didn’t have a clue how to do it. At the beginning of my decision making process journey, I read all the reviews for every single wedding planner. I narrowed it down to only three of them. I inquired information for the first one (randomly chosen), and started filling out a spreadsheet with personal and wedding details that they provided. I was really overwhelmed, and I completely stopped for a couple of months. I needed to know the basics and figure out what I wanted first, and I was not ready for that just yet. One day I decided to wrap up the “spreadsheet”, and I sent it out. To my surprise, I received the rudest email ever from that wedding planner. I could not believe my eyes. Her response was: We will not be in Cartagena for that day (my tentative wedding day); therefore, we can’t coordinate your weeding. I was very upset, but at the same time I was glad I did not choose that company. They didn’t value me as a customer... So, I went ahead and sent an e-mail to Caribe Cordial, and it was the best decision ever! Caribe Cordial welcomed me like family. They walked me trough every detail and I felt really good and secure. Sandra helped me with preliminary details, wedding colors and general details. She has a great taste and she is a sweetheart. I changed my wedding date 3 times, and they did not have any problems. I worked with Juan Camilo at the end of the planning process, and he is defiantly a PRO for this business. He is into details and has GREAT ideas. I had a Polaroid picture station with costumes for my guests. He gave me tips and a great variety of choices. He knew the vendors well and was always targeting the best prices based on my budget. They are caring people. The day of my wedding my dress ripped and in a matter of seconds they were sawing it. They are prepared professionals that LOVE what they do. They are a great team and they deserve it. The day of my wedding was the best day of my life, and it was because of them. They made an exceptional work. Caribe Cordial succeeded my expectations. Just got married in Cartagena and cannot recommend the picture perfect city for a wedding venue enough! As both my wife and I were living in Europe during the 12 months leading up to our big day it was imperative that we had competent Wedding Planners. Caribe Cordial really made the effort of planning a wedding from another continent manageable and with hindsight I doubt we would have managed without them. To hire Caribe Cordial was our best decision. They are very professional in their job, they have great taste, ideas and suggestions and they know very well all the Cartagena’s providers. They gave us the best advice for our wedding. They helped us a lot, not just with the wedding planning but also with our guests program in Cartagena, like “day trip in Rosario’s Island”, Cartagena’s chiva tour (traditional color buses), etc. They are also wonderful people, and all of them stayed with us until the end of the wedding at 6am. Some of the things they did are: meeting with us and the vendors during our visits to Cartagena to review every part of the plan, layout and options. They had wonderful ideas and worked really well with the vendors.

We started planning a small wedding around 70 people, but we got carried away and got over 120 confirmations! about a month after we gave the deposit for the venue we decided to change it to accommodate more guests. Camilo helped us get the full deposit back in our first venue which is extremely hard to do in Cartagena. We had guests from other countries and they coordinated the logistics and pick up for everyone so they could feel welcome in Cartagena from the start.

They were with us the week prior to the wedding to make sure we had anything we wanted and helped us with all the welcome events, lunch on the beach, chiva tour, etc..We had the rehearsal of ceremony and rehearsal with the vendors and we feel very comfortable with the plan. They did a great job with the logistics of the horse carriages that took us to our reception venue. Overall, we just can't tell all the details but we feel that we had a very professional group helping us have a great wedding!

I was relaxed the whole time during the big day because I knew everything was being taken care of, and they were working hard behind the scenes. I had the best time and just got to celebrate!

We would highly recommend Caribe Cordial as a wedding planning company for couples planning their wedding abroad in Cartagena. We live in the US but Diana was Colombian and wanted a wedding in Cartagena. Originally, we tried to plan it from abroad but we had a tight timeframe and needed help. Once we started working with Caribe Cordial, we wish we had worked with them from the beginning. They were able to get better prices on services, hotels, etc. than we were finding and took care of all the details such that we didn't even make a trip to Cartagena prior to the wedding. We worked specifically with Liliana and Juan Camilo. Liliana speaks english so communication was not too much of an issue. On our wedding weekend, they took care of transportation to get our guests to the hotel, made sure we had our paperwork ready, and went over the final details. They guided us through the Catholic wedding ceremony and arranged a classy party at Casa Pombo. They spent a lot of time with us and made sure that things were to our liking. Liliana and Juan Camilo had great taste and had the details in place that made our event a night to remember. We came to trust them and their judgement. The lights, flowers, band, "hora loca", and food was memorable and of high quality. A couple of issues arose through the weekend (as they always do) and Juan Camilo and Liliana came up with quick solutions and were highly professional. It is very difficult to plan a "destination" wedding but Liliana and Juan Camilo made the experience easy, enjoyable and of high quality.
