Montilios

I had no idea what I wanted but have always wanted a cake from the bakery that did cakes for the Kennedys and Red Sox. I found pictures from Pinterest from 3 three different cakes and from across the country over the phone, planned a cake with Debbi the cake planner. I had no idea what the cake would look like but I trusted Montilios and my cake was gorgeous!

The cake was delicious and many people complimented that. However the cake did not look the way it was supposed to. It also had black ribbon around each tier but they were short on the bottom tier and left it. I called one month prior to tell them I was not doing a cake topper to add flowers. Two weeks prior to the wedding I received a cake topper and called back to change it and confirmed it. The week before the wedding I left 4 messages to confirm again the cake and the delivery and never received a call back.

This company provided a cake testing for my fiance and fiance's sister. In both cases, they decided not to purchase a cake from Montilios. However, We just received a bill for the purchase price of a wedding cake, in addition to that, so did her sister. This practice of billing once prospective clients is inappropriate. Receipt of today's bill forced me to be required to call Montilio's bakery and cancel an apparent 'order'. I asked the woman on the phone about the ethics of billing people that did not require Montilio's services and she hung up on me. I have since attempted to contact the company's owner to further my complaint, to no avail. I have complained to the Better Business Bureau as of today. This billing practice has caused both stress for myself, but a loss of business for this company. I will be making a significant effort in spreading the word about this unethical company.

Wonderful Cake - Excellent service

They made the cake of my dreams! George Montilio worked with us and created our cake out of the designs that I put together for him! I LOVED IT!

The cake was beautiful, but the flowers weren't quite right & they gave us a flavor combo that wasn't what we asked for. Everything was tasty but if you're a stickler for the details, you might want to make sure they get it done right.

The cake was excellent.
