JENNIFER AND ROBERT'S WEDDING
April, 2010 in Charleston"Our wedding was absolutely perfect!! We couldn't have asked for better weather, better blooms, Charleston charm, or better guests! We had a lot of friends and family who traveled far and we are so very appreciative that they were able to share in our special day. The feedback is that Charleston's hospitality lived up to its reputation and our guests will definitely be back."

"The food was good, but I was very unhappy with the manner in which my event was handled. My catering coordinator was not attentive, communication along the way was slow, and she did not show on my wedding day. Another coordinator was apparently assigned unbeknownst to me. If there had to be a swap, that's fine, but it was not told and I found it a little odd that I had to approach the new girl and introduce myself and ask her name. On a positive note, the waitstaff was great. Karen was assigned to us and she was fantastic!"

"We used Home Team to cater our backyard BBQ rehearsal dinner. The food was such a hit with our northern family. They really had an opportunity to get a taste of "the low country" while they were here for the wedding weekend. Aaron and his crew of guys took care of everything and they were so friendly!! I think my father-in-law had 3 pulled pork sandwiches -- like I said it was a huge hit!!"

"Beth was great! I got a ton of compliments on my bouquet and my husband actually commented on how much he liked his boutonniere! Beth also surprised me with an awesome floral display going up the stairs at Society Hall. She suspended galvanized buckets full of flowers with ribbon. It was very cool!"

"I found their selection to be great. I wish their prices were as good as Vista Print though. Overall, I found an invite design I loved and customized the color. I did have an issue with the quality of the printing used for the return address on the RSVP envelopes. By the time they got back to us in the mail, the font was so faded I'm surprised they actually made it to our house. WPD apologized for the error and refunded the printing cost for them. Though I was annoyed it happened in the first place, WPD certainly tried to make ammends. Their Customer Service representatives were so great through the whole process from my questions about color customization to resolving my issue. I would use them again."

"Snyder was great! We used them for the reception and also for our backyard BBQ rehearsal dinner. They have a huge selection of everything!"
Wedding Day Beauty Vendor:
Stella Nova

"Patrick did my hair and he was fantastic! We did a trial run before the wedding. I went in with some pictures and a verbal description of the look I was going for and he nailed it on the first try! The morning of the wedding, my Mother and sister also got their hair done at Stella Nova. Everyone was very pleased with the results. We all got make-up too. Again, we were all pleased with the results. The cost of everything was reasonable with the exception of the trial run. I was surprised that it was $100 - same as the actual wedding day style. Half would have been more reasonable considering you may have to go more than once for a trial. Thankfully, I didn't! ;)"
Wedding Fashion Vendor:
Gown Boutique of Charleston
664- A State Road S-10-97Mount Pleasant, SC, United States
"Terri was fantastic! I saw my vision of a perfect dress in Charleston Wedding Magazine in one of Gown Boutique's ads only to find that the girl wearing the dress was a friend of a friend. I immediately called and set an appointment up with Terri. In the meantime, I talked to the friend's friend who gave nothing but a glowing review of her experience with the shop. Terri is very knowledgeable, honest, and has a great sense of fashion. I had a short timeframe, so I knew I would most likely have to buy off the rack and I found my dream dress at Gown Boutique! It is gorgeous and seems to have been made specifically for me! I also found my bird cage veil there too! I love the dress, the veil, and the experience was fantastic! I'm still getting compliments!"
Ceremony Venue:
St. Luke's Chapel
181 Ashley AveCharleston, SC 29403, United States
"The chapel is absolutely beautiful and the courtyard is amazing. I will say the price is much nicer if you have an affiliation with MUSC though. However, we loved it! The stained glass windows and the ceiling are absolutely beautiful. Barbara and Anita were also very helpful."
Reception Venue:
South Carolina Society Hall
72 Meeting StCharleston, SC 29401, United States
"It's a beautiful, historic venue. The chandeliers, fireplaces, and the hardwood floors are amazing. We had 80+ guests and seated all of them. It was a little tight, but our friends and family are from the Northeast and accustomed to "sitdown" receptions."
