What was your first dance song? I am thinking of Edwin McCain - I Could Not Ask For More. Me and my fiance just think its perfect.

Our song was "Jersey Girl" by Bruce Springsteen. We are both originally from New Jersey and many of our guests were from New Jersey, so it was fitting. We walked out to the reception to the beginning of "Beautiful Day" by U2. I walked down the aisle to our string trio playing "Cannon in D" by Pachelbel. We walked up the isle to the string trio playing "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles.
finding a first dance song was one of the hardest decisions we made. God we're dorks. We ended up going with "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King. It was the perfect slow song that wasn't too long. My husband is not a big dancer. We loved it though. I too walked in with "Cannon in D" and loved it. My wedding party walked in with that Enya song "Only Time" which was beautiful. When we walked back married they played "Breaking the law" by Judas Priest. My husband is a cop and loves metal so it was perfect.

P.S. Breaking The Law....... AWESOME! lol I can picture it now! LOL I am a metal head myself with a very girly soft side so I can picture that as awesome. just plain amazingness!
This is definitely a good question! I think my hubby-to-be and I are going to dance to a country song that he put on a mix for me about 9 years ago -- before we were even together. I haven't decided yet on what I'll walk down the aisle to, but I was thinking of having the bridesmaids walk to Pachebel's Cannon in D and than I'd walk down to the traditional wedding march ("dum, da da-da" etc).
We were at a wedding in October where the bride and groom danced to "I've got you, babe" by Sunny and Cher. They even had a bit of special choreography for every time the chorus played, which was really cute and funny. It was fantastic!
We are going to dance to Edwin McCain as well, but its going to be "I'll Be" It was a toss up between that and Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts but that one kinda makes me sad
Peter Cincotti, Some Kind Of Wonderful. It's not the some kind of wonderful that you think you know. Totally different and perfect for "Your Song."
Our first dance was to "You" by Jesse Powell. We were announced to the song "You're All I Need" by Mary J. Blige and Method Man.
