Question_mark Question:

Hi Sharon, my wedding is scheduled for June 2011. I was wondering about what time i should start looking for wedding dresses and finding vendors?

Answer:

Now's the time! you're just a year away, and this amount of lead time allows you plenty of smart research time to interview five or six vendors to find the perfect one who still has openings for a June wedding next year. So start doing your reearch, ask friends who they hired, talk to the Wedding Mapper couples you find here who were married in your region and see what they had to say about their vendors..because now is the time to book!
As far as your gown, now is also the time to start searching, since it can take some gown companies 6 months or more -- some take 9 months! -- to deliver the gown you order, and then you need weeks for alterations.
The average bride and groom start planning 14 months in advance, so don't worry -- you're not late! You have plenty of time, but since it's a June wedding in peak season, I wouldn't wait another week!
