Expert Advice from wedding guru, Sharon Naylor
Question:
Hello Sharon, I know that I need a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator, how can I be assured that her quote is not outrageous, and her fees are in line
Answer:
Ask around to friends who hired coordinators in the past few years, and check with brides that you'll find right here on Wedding Mapper. We're all happy to tell you the truth about our vendors!
The best way to assess wedding coordinator price packages is to call around to several of them, or submit requests for price quotes through their sites, and compare what each of them offers. Most brides approach 5 to 8 wedding coordinators, and they get the names through www.BridalAssn.com, plugging in their region and getting the names of accredited wedding planners to interview. Spend lots of time on this, and remember that you want a quality coordinator who charges in the middle of the average price ranges...someone who undercharges may not be a true professional with the best skills. We're seeing a lot of beginners out there who are quoting really, really low prices, and brides are having troubles because these novices don't have the connections, the legal experience, the skills and the resources to really meet their needs.
Good luck!
