Question_mark Question:

I really like the thought of black and chrome... but im having a hard time finding the accent color... i thought blue, but thats so unoriginal. I have a lot of different size brides maides so different style dresses are in order, but i really want them to have an accent color thats not too bold or boring!!! Also something that is manly... for an Army groom. please HELP!!!

Answer:

Black and chrome is super-hot in wedding color trends right now, and since they are both considered neutrals, you have your choice of accent color.

I wonder, what is it about blue that's turning you off? There are SO many different shades of blue that look amazing -- from an icy, metallic blue to an ocean blue to a deep sapphire. When I'm trying to decide between shades, I go right to Home Depot and look at the paint color strips in the painting section to get a real look at how various shades of blue would work. Don't forget that you can choose one shade of blue for your bridesmaids and that gorgeous ice blue metallic for the men, which is plenty masculine. Bring your groom along so that he can look at the shades and pick out the ones that call to him. You'll then bring these free paint strips to the tux rental place or suit shop for the staff's assistance in helping to find great color accessories for your guys, and the same method really helps gown shop stylists to help you outfit your bridesmaids and the child attendants. I personally like to mix up the accent color, with different ranges of shades for everyone involved.

If you're not heartset on blue, then that visit to the paint section might reveal a pretty coral color [also hot right now and considered 'the new pink'], or any number of different shades.

I can help further if you let me know the season of your wedding, so just write back in the comments so that I can guide you further!

YOUVE HELPED SO MUCH!!! Thank you... i think a trip across the street to the local Depot is most def a go. I cant take my man with me unfortunately, because hes over in afghanistan... :( But my date is July 10th... Heres the thing... Im already married, we spun out to the court house to have a wedding before he deployed, so im trying to keep things simple with the dresses and tux's, but its really going to be a reception for the most part. Its scheduled for July 10th... i thought also about doing brown table clothes, green and coral because i want to have an camoflauge wedding cake!!! what do you think???
